Nappy Rash Treatment
Treating nappy rash can be daunting, but these tips can help:
• Change baby’s nappy every time it becomes wet or dirty to prevent prolonged contact between baby’s skin and the chemicals found in wee and poo
• Leave the nappy off for as long as possible to let fresh air get to the affected area
• Make sure the nappy fits well and is not chafing or rubbing anywhere
• Avoid using soaps, detergents or bubble bath that could further irritate the affected area
• Ensure baby’s skin is clean and dry before using a fresh nappy
• Apply a thin layer of Sudocrem® Antiseptic Healing Cream to the affected area with suitable covering where necessary to help soothe and heal skin. Renew application as required. Sudocrem®’s local anaesthetic and moisturising properties help to soothe discomfort and pain.
If nappy rash persists or worsens, speak to your doctor or health visitor.
